. . . and we’re headed to the other side of the Atlantic, swapping legendary London for balmy Bridgetown. I’m winding down Sargasso Trading Company and allowing it to manifest into its new life over the next year or so while we get settled.

“Whatever is fated to make its mark is destined to change.”

This phrase has stuck with me for decades, ever since I found it in a fortune cookie.

In 2020, I’m surrendering to the many forces of change and letting them carry us to new shores–literally, to the Caribbean, the region where I was born and grew up.

This blog is about all of this. Moving countries for the third time –this time with children, while juggling a writing career, Sargasso, a Transatlantic commuter marriage, and growing older gracefully (I hope).

Eyes and heart open and ready for everything that life will reveal,

You can’t look one way for too long. Life is all about change, whether you’re ready for it or not. 2020 reminded me of that. It also reminded me of how I miss the sun, the hot weather, and most of all, the sea.

So I’m taking us back to the Caribbean. The year before I turn 50. With two growing children and a long-distance marriage, two businesses and the rest of my life to look forward to. I hope you’ll join me.
